Morning Jenny. Thankyou for such a beautiful array of photos. They are very atmospheric and like miniature paintings themselves. (especially the one of you in the bunk house!!) As for your paintings, they are absolutely wonderful. I was planning on writing to you today to mention what a joy it has been to receive your pictures and paintings to accompany your missives. And now here are more. Lovely. They really bring your adventure closer. I also wanted to especially let you know how exquisite I found your icon painting . So tender and expressive. Beautiful colours. I love it. A mini masterpiece, I think. Did you leave it at Bjorka Saby as gift, I wondered, or do you have it still? What an amazing record you will have. Well, keep on pedaling and painting. Stay well and happy. I hope Poland goes well for you. I’m off to help Ian make some new raised beds and to plant some strawberries, lettuces and black kale. Oh yes – not forgetting my daily slug hunt! Happy to say, I appear to be winning on that front. Lots of love – Beverley xxxx
Hi Beverley . So glad you like them. I have so enjoyed many of the paintings, but yes, the icon was one of those moments of suspended, enrapt times that are rare and so, priceless. I confess that I have sent the original home, and a print to B. Säby.
The bad hair day was one of those ” which sock do I put on first and how on earth do I do that anyway days!!!!”
Lots of love, Jenny xx
Dear Jenny, I came back home to Buckfastleigh, and talked to my mom on the phone, who lives in London, where I recently met her Swedish friend who has a wonderful place in Gotland, and
a studio in Gotland. I was so moved by the event tonight, I am very happy to have learned
of your bicycling so many miles, of beautiful country – Thank you so much for having something
online to look at too! Xenia, xxx supporting the campaign to stop the IBA processing plant……
